This is kind of old school but I think it’s well worth doing. I’ve been doing it for years now and I’m absolutely convinced it has a positive effect on my daily attitude. “Every day in every way I’m getting better and better.” That’s a standard one created by the French psychologist Émile Coué.
At first it might feel a bit silly and a bit contradictory to how you’re feeling but stick with it. Do it in the morning and the evening when you are in a favourable physical and mental state. When we tell ourselves we feel a certain way over and over our subconscious begins to accept it as truth. The obvious example is the negative statements some people use; ‘I’m so fat.’ or ‘Nobody cares about me.’ or ‘I’m stupid.’ That’s a self fulfilling prophecy right there. As…
